Fifty 2012
In 2012 Louis turned 50, and produced an embodiment of work directly related to his history. The story was a sequence of snapshots into the Artists life the combination of which, both metaphorically and physically combined to a whole. As described in his catalog Louis took the series of images (49 in total) each of which represented a year in his life. Each had an actual story of a moment in a year or in a couple of cases more obscure thoughts or reflections. When the 49 paintings were assembled they became the 50th which depicted the "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man with Bowl of Tomatoes being Harassed by Crows".
